Is my trip package refundable?
Your retreat booking is considered confirmed at time of booking. Your deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances due to upfront costs we must incur. Minus your deposit, if cancellation takes place prior to 90 days 25% of your payments will be forfeited, if cancellation takes place prior to 60 days, 50% of your trip fee will be forfeited. Cancellation shall not be made within 60 days to the retreat, any cancellation made within this period shall attract a 100% forfeiture of your trip fee.
Similarly, no cancellation can be made upon the commencement of the retreat. If cancellation takes place during the retreat, 100% of your trip fee shall be forfeited.
You agree that neither Route 2 Roots Wellness nor our hotel partners or vendors will be liable or responsible for a cancelled retreat for circumstances beyond reasonable control, including acts of civil or military authority, national emergencies, fire, mechanical breakdown, flood or catastrophe, acts of God, epidemic, pandemic, insurrection, war, riots, or failure of transportation, communication, or power supply.
Route 2 Roots Wellness in our sole discretion reserves the right to cancel a retreat for attendees’ safety, act of God, government policies or any unforeseeable reason. Upon the occurrence of such cancellation, the Retreat Host will provide a credit for a future retreat, valid for up to one year. Due to the current climate, we strongly encourage attendees to purchase “Cancel For Any Reason” or “Cancel for Work” insurance.
What do I need for international travel?
A passport valid for 6 months after travel is standard however your retreat Route 2 Roots Wellness will provide requirements specific to your destination.
Do I need a Covid-19 vaccination?
Route 2 Roots Wellness follows the entry requirements of the retreat destination. Please refer to the retreat booking page for additional information about your retreat.
If I am a solo traveler but do not mind sharing a room or suite with another guest, what should I do?
When applicable, if you would like to share a room or suite, but need to be matched with another guest, you can put your deposit in for the room of your choice, and at check out select “YES to being matched with another solo traveler."
Once the retreat host matches you, then they will connect you to your suite mate at least 45-60 days prior to the retreat so you can get to know each other.
Please be advised that some of our retreats only offer single occupancy rooms. Please refer to the package options for each individual retreat.
Do you provide ground transportation to/from airport?
Please refer to the specific retreat offerings for inclusions and exclusions for each retreat.
Do you have discounts available?
Route 2 Roots Wellness may offer promotional pricing and/or booking perks at different points throughout the year. Sign up for our email newsletter and follow us on our social media accounts to be the first to know about promotions and discounts.
Do I need to book my own flight?
You are responsible for booking your own flight to and from the destination.
When should I book my package?
You should book as soon as you're able to because space is limited at all retreats.
What’s Included?
Please refer to the package page for the retreat you are interested in attending to see what's included in your package price.
For all retreats, if you choose to go on any additional excursions outside of the scheduled retreat activities, you will be responsible for the costs.
When do you publish the schedule?
We generally do not publish the final schedule on our website, it is only for confirmed retreat attendees. However, the activities listed on the main page will be included in your itinerary, barring any changes not under our control.
When will I receive trip details?
Upon registration, you will receive a welcome message with general trip information. If you opted for an installment plan, you will also receive auto reminders 3 days prior to payment date. As the date of the retreat approaches over the next few months, you will receive emails on specifics relevant to your trip from your retreat host.
Can I arrive early and stay late?
You are more than welcome to book your travel to arrive early and/or stay post retreat. If you choose to do so, you will be responsible for the cost of your room at the hotel/resort for those additional days.
How much free time will we have?
Each retreat is curated by Route 2 Roots Wellness and no itinerary will be the same. Send us a DM for more information and/or specific questions.
Should I get travel insurance?
Travel insurance is not mandatory, however we highly recommend you do purchase it. Life happens, especially considering the world we live in. Please refer to our cancellation policy above. We make every effort to work with our retreat participants, and we’re a small business that incurs non-refundable costs to offer these experiences.. If you have to cancel for any reason, our cancellation policy applies.
If you choose to purchase travel insurance we suggest that you add “cancel for any reason” or “cancel for work reasons” to your policy.
Although normal trip cancellation will cover you for illness or injury, or for a travel companion’s illness, injury or death, it is limited to these. With “cancel for any reason” you will receive a percentage (usually 75%-100%) of all pre-paid costs. With this coverage if something comes up, a wedding, a new job opportunity, virus outbreak etc. or if the organizers have to cancel due to weather, staff injury or illness or other unforeseen reasons, you will be covered. *This option needs to be purchased within 15 days of your trip deposit.

What should I bring?
You should generally bring: outfits for our evening events and dinners, sunscreen, bug repellent, comfortable clothes and shoes, sneakers, water shoes, sunglasses, swimwear (if climate friendly), reading materials, a journal, and a reusable water bottle. You will receive a specific packing list for your destination if additional items are required and/ or suggested for you to bring.
Can I make changes to my reservation?
